The Stavdals

After having met my dear "skating-friends" in Helsinki at the European Championships 2009, we decided to meet again in Tallinn after one year, 2010! So, the one year passed as quick as always, and on Friday 22nd of January we headed towards Tallinn.

The weather was icing cold, - 20 degrees C, but it was heart warming to get together with dear friends who had such a huge impact in the younger days of my life! Due to the distance from the North of Norway to the Southern part of Finland, we don't get to see each other often. Still, whenever we meet, it feels so natural and easy to be together once again. It's like we have so much in common, and grew so close to each other during the skating years, that those bonds of friendship are not broken even by thousand miles of distance, neither longer breaks between getting together. It's so easy just to continue the chatting from where we had to stop last time. : )

The Finnish Figure Skating has developed extremely during the last few years. It is therefore with such pleasure and excitement we can sit in the audience supporting our wonderful skaters! So proud of Kiira, Laura and Susanna, and I'm simply enjoying this beautiful, artistic sports which I feel still is a part of me - although now outside the ice rink. :)
