The Stavdals

Huge crowds of people gathered to watch King Harald, Queen Sonja and Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, with her consort Jean-Daniel Lafond, on a 200 metre stroll down Tromsø main street on Thursday, April 30.

On their way down the alley of excited Tromsø-people, the royal couple and their state visitors from Canada, took great interest in the many mini shows given by several clubs and activities representing Tromsø youth culture.

I had placed myself nearby the gymnastics apparatus, where the celebrity stopped to watch Håkon Gunnar and Magnus, Tromsø Gymnastics club, on the pommel horse and the parallell bars. Afterwards they got to shake hands with both the royal couple, the Governor General and her consort.
