Here you can see a couple of pictures and listen to the children's story and the main talk on Sabbath, October 25 at the SDA-Church in Tromsø, Norway. You wouldn't want to miss out on this!

Enthralling stories

Pastor Duerksen is a well known storyteller and world class photographer, speaker and mission enthusiast. I have heard he likes thinking of himself as a story-catcher, and he currently works for Maranatha Volounteers International full-time to promote the Maranatha experience all over the world. He has also been the host of the Maranatha Mission Stories television show since its first episode.

I remember hearing him speak at the Adventist Youth Congress in Budapest in 1992 where, by the way, the N.I.V. was priveleged to share a few songs and give an out-door park concert. Anyways, experiencing the powerful stories of the Bible brought to life through his story telling, is simply captivating and even more importently, life changing.

Here you can hear the children's story about a big man and two fishermen and the main talk vividly expounding on the Bible story where Peter was asked by Jesus to go fishing in broad daylight.

The first time I heard Dick Duerksen was in the early 80s when he was our college Week of Prayer speaker in Singapore. He was a very captivating and inspirational speaker. And still is! I think he has a great speaking voice, too!
