Spectacular skiing in our mountainous wildreness of a back yard
We are in a way fortunate to have snow coated wildreness in our back yard. So, today we clamped down our boots and set out for a quick trip primarily to see the stunning view from the mountain a stone's throw from our house, which today enjoyed the full attention of the sun. By the way, did you know that the word ski goes back to the Old Norse word skíð meaning "a stick of wood"?
