The Gymnastics National Finals - Landsfinalen i turn - Tromsø - Norway
The National Gymnastics All-Around Final was held in Tromsø on Saturday 24. November, and the Event Final on Sunday 25. November (Landsfinalen i turn 2007, Gyllenborghallen i Tromsø). In the All-Round Final, Andreas was pleased that he qualified for the Event Final in all except parallell bars. His pommel horse performance gave him the silver medal, and he won the floor and rings exercise bronze medals. This was despite a partial deltoideus muscle fibre tear, and he had to take a couple of pain-killers combined with long and gentle warm-up to pull it off. Read on and see some pictures, a video stream of his floor event and last but not least a feature story by the local newspaper "Bladet Tromsø".
Both the coaches and Andreas were pleased with the final standings
Watch Andreas' bronze awarded floor event (score 15,50) in the flash stream below.
His floor drill included a series of back handsprings, a straight back salto, front hand spring - salto, split, press to handstand, a Menichellio-salto, a forward salto with half a twist and a forward salto with a full twist.
In the picture below are all the gymnasts that qualified for the Event Final after defilation. The gymnasts are from level 1 through to 3. Andreas is at level one.

Andreas seemed content with his silver medal in the pommel horse event with the score of 11,15.

In the evening a reporter from the local newspaper Bladet Tromsø called for an interview, so we'll be browsing tomorrow's issue and post whatever comes up here..and here it is in jpg-format. Click here (pdf 1 Mb) to download a quality pdf-versionl.

Thanks! It's great fun so long as he enjoys the sport and feels comfortable spending all those hours in the gym.
