Complaining pays off
Although complaining about a product is something I absolutely both detest and dread, it sure pays off. We just received a package from the company NORA worth 200 NOK. All we did was send an email of complaint a few weeks ago about a half baked pizza which after baking got totally stuck to the foil form that came with it. There's more!
Another highly recommended complaint-success, was dropping the insurance-company a call (if.no), and suddenly the annual price was knocked down considerably.
Our internet-connection is also an example of the advantage of complaining. Since the radio broadband connection has been on and off the past couple of months, a few phonecalls resulted in a free internet subscription until the problem is fixed.
Not to forget our 65 square meters of parquet flooring that since it was laid has been making really loud creaking-sounds, and that's not all, because the floorboards' click-fitting for obvious reasons wasn't good quality, the boards have come apart just an inkling and you can feel the sharp edges of the boards when shuffling along the floor. We made some calls, had an inspector over, and after waiting four months it now seems we might get an entire new floor, we hope.
Fortunately, there's something called the consumers' rights. But on the down side, time consuming complaining is often the means by which one obtains results.
Nevertheless, the package in the picture was the result of a short email:)

The representative for the parquet floor company came all the way from Oslo by air to check my creeking floor for the second time. And, good news, he is giving us an entire new floor! So I guess complaining helps, or rather, being an alert customer pays off in the end.
