The boys climbed Tromsdalstind

Posted by Rune Stavdal

On Sunday August 20, the boys climbed Troms?'s highest mountain, Tromsdalstind. It was their first time on the peak of the mountain. Even Mathias, 6 years old, did the whole 20 km round trip without much complaint.

Astounding weather made the experience simply fantastic. We drank clean, fresh water from a creek along the trail and enjoyed picking tasty blueberries as well. The view was simply breath-taking from above the tree-line all the way up to the rocky top reaching 1238 metres above sea level. This route is indeed very scenic, the sight of Piggtind never stops capturing attention and imagination.

Tromsdalstind is the highest mountain on Troms?halv?ya peninsula, located above Tromsdalen valley. The valley offers a number of hiking trails and is a very scenic area. In winter, the area is frequently used by cross-country skiers. Tromsdalstind is a very popular hike due to the close proximity to the city of Troms?. And the views are astounding, towards Lyngen alps, Kval?ya alps, Senja, and more.

Jeg er kjempestolte av dere- tenk å klare hele den turen, og uten å kny. For to år siden gikk jeg den samme strekningen, men jeg tror jeg knydde litt, men bare litt...
