Pizzza-help wanted!

Posted by Rune Stavdal

Over the past years I've tried through trial and error to obtain that good tasing pizza recipe. But I always end up with a taste that doesn't exactly reap the best consumer responses. Now, that's why you might help me! I admit having failed the pizza chef home exam, and resort to pleading for your suggestions. Why is it pizza always tastes better when visiting others than my home-made pizza?

I'm fully aware of several of the brilliant cookery books and internet sites where you are supposted to do as the recepe says, and end up with a tasty dish. But there must be some secret tricks that I simply miss. One of my colleagues at shool who among other things is a chef, told me to let the sause boil longer. Somehow, that didn't seem to help much either. I've even gone so far as to buy ready made sause. But even with TORO pizza sause, I get funny looks at the table.. Now I'm hoping for your best pizza advice.

May I add that the picture below is not my pizza...It was made by my colleague, Serge.

Today I was given the best hint so far. Coop Jekta has according to one of my colleagues an exquisite topping-sause that is said to give a close-to-restaurant flavour. Tomorrow I'm trying it out - so I'll keep you posted.

A few suggestions I might try out; add a bit of sugar to the sause, add a little bit of olive oil to the sause...Hope it spices things up.

You just have to make a bettertasting Pizza. Why is it that our homemades always tastes better than any made by our visitents Pizza? Remember the "breadpart" to be a slim one correctly "fried" added enough salt;pepper, orogano(carefull),tomatopuree and onion(richly) and finally norwegian Gaudaost. Remember to fry it just so much that the cheese is partly lightly burned, just so much that the rats cant resist it. The parole is: If the rats cant resist it , you can`t. Good appetite.

You might get a swarmfull amount of sugestions that make small sophisticated picant changes to the taste, but remember that it is the basics that counts. All kinds of Pizza will get an outstanding satisfactory tast by using simple basic prinsiples. As compared to making a wonderfull welltasted creamcake or Blaudis, what ever you try to do,you will not succeed without drenching the "breadpart" with milk or juice correctly.
